Tonik is now working in partnership with an existing successful scheme, Support Your School which provides collection boxes nationwide so that ink and toner cartridges (and mobile phones) can be returned to gain income for the school.

This programme has now been strengthened by providing a free inks and toners mini-website to any participating school. This becomes one of the links from the main school website and all the information on it is kept up to date by Tonik. Parents and friends of the school order the recycled and original inks and toners they need at guaranteed best prices, earning the school up to 5% per order in commission in a "total cycle" of cartridge use and return.

Parents and friends of the school who order this way receive information urging them to return all useable cartridges for recycling. The school hence earns double earnings- once on the sale of cartridges, again on their return. The school also becomes a beacon example of best environmental practice, encouraging a total cycle of use and reuse.  There are obvious ways this initiative can be integrated into the curriculum. We look forward to working with our pioneer schools on this.
