Kodak Cartridges
Kodak all started in the 1870s when 24-year old George Eastman was organizing a holiday away from his work in Rochester, New York. A colleague proposed that he should make photographs of his vacation. He quickly went off the idea when he realised how much gear he had to carry around just to take a few pictures.
36 months later he had developed a dry glass plate (an essential part of the photography process) to his satisfaction. He got a U.S. patent for a variety of contraptions he had developed and started producing these in 1880. A year later, joined by another businessman, he went full time with his fledgling photography business leaving his "secure" job at the bank. With the slogan "You push the button, we do the rest" the Company as we all now know went on to great things.
